Neelsville Middle School
Construction Progress
This site is designed to keep the Neelsville Community up to date on the
construction progress of the new facility.
Henley Construction Company is excited to be working once again with Montgomery County Public Schools and the members of the Neelsville community on the construction of the new Neelsville Middle School. Building relationships through accountability and respect has long been one of Henley’s Core Values. We look forward to building and growing more of those relationships during the construction of your project. Having built over 120 school projects in Montgomery County alone, all ideas are valued and challenge us to be innovative, helping us to build better. We look forward to working together to build a wonderful new school where students can grow, and the community can thrive.
Because where we live and work matters.

Meet the Neelsville Project Team
Greg Ramirez
Vice President/Project Executive
As Project Executive on the Neelsville Middle School project, Greg has been actively engaged with the project for well over a year, long before the site fencing you now see, ever went in. Greg will continue to bring his collaborative management style and thirty years of experience in the construction industry to MCPS and your new school. His responsibilities will include helping manage any project challenges, cultivating and maintaining positive working relationships with all team and community members, and addressing any needs for advanced planning of equipment and supplies, especially important with current supply chain challenges.
Having previously worked for years in the K-12 education community, Greg is very aware of the needs and conditions necessary for the successful completion of the Neelsville Middle School project and the importance of working safely on an occupied K-12 education facility.
When not working, Greg and his wife Sylvia have three children, Andy (14), and twins Lucas and Luna (12). He enjoys spending his off hours, watching their sporting events, whether at practice or games. Every now and then Greg’s also been known to take over the kitchen, he loves to demonstrate his creative culinary skills by creating and sharing great meals with family and friends.
Nathan Stewart
Project Manager
Nathan has been with Henley for five years, working from Assistant Project Manager to his current role of Project Manager. While quiet, his ability to clearly communicate information to all team members is robust. Nate is also a Henley team member that has successfully implemented Henley’s Client Success methodology into his project approach, by listening attentively and asking questions thereby hearing the clients concerns as well as visions for the outcome of their project.
Nathan’s conscientiousness is invaluable on the projects he is assigned, as demonstrated with his ability to implement necessary changes and field questions through open, clear communication with the entire project team, thereby quickly and effectively resolving any issues as they arise.
Prior to working at Henley, Nathan was a certified clinical exercise physiologist at the Center for Fitness and Health at Shady Grove Medical Center. Now instead of building bodies he’s building buildings. Outside of work Nathan’s interests include weightlifting, hiking, and fishing.
Matt Flynn
Superintendent
Matt has been with Henley Construction for twenty-four years and has completed multiple educational facilities within the Construction Manager delivery, the most recent in Montgomery County being the Maryvale Elementary School/Sandburg Learning Center. Matt works diligently to build the best possible project for our clients which is evident with winning an Excellence in Construction from ABC Metro Washington and ABC Virginia with the Maryvale Elementary School/Sandburg Learning Center.
One of Matt’s strengths lies in his ability to problem solve and keep projects moving forward. Matt’s temperament has allowed him to grow strong relationships with our clients, the subcontractor community throughout the years. Mutual respect, accountability, and clear communication of expectations are the messages he conveys to his teams. His primary goal to satisfy the owners vision, the projects end-users, and community members and will tell you he feels no greater satisfaction of a job well done when these goals are achieved.
Outside of work at home in West Virginia, Matt has been busy with two new Boxer puppies, Tiki, and Ellie. Rugger, his five year old boxer, is adjusting to all the recent activity (as is the rest of the family). Matt, also known as “Big Daddy,” is married to Alison, and is Dad to three children: Garrett (19), Josie (12) and Lane (10). Matt enjoys Kayaking, Fishing and Hiking with the family and is a big WVU fan.
